Adele was born in Detroit to Shafik and Bedelia (Matta) Haddad. She remained a resident of Detroit until 1971 when she moved to Lathrup Village.
She graduated in 1942 from Commerce High School in Detroit and then began work as a secretary for Chrysler Corporation. She met her future husband while attending a social gathering on his boat cruising on Lake St. Clair, which became an ongoing part of their lives together.
Adele was a proud member of many organizations throughout her life including the Lathrup Village Women's Club, St. Laba's Ladies Society, ALSAC, and the Order of St. Sharbel. She also served as a chairperson on various event committees centered around the Lebanese Maronite community.
She enjoyed bowling on several leagues over the years and won multiple trophies and awards for her performance. In her free time she also enjoyed sewing, exercising, and doing various craft projects from candle making to bead stringing. One of her favorite pass times was cooking and baking - many friends and family enjoyed the fruits of her labor.
She is the beloved wife of the late Albert A. for 54 years. Dear mother of Michael A., Donald J. (Eileen), Susan M. and the late David C. Loving sittee of David M. Sister of Charles Haddad and the late Emily, Ann, Elizabeth, Rose and Theresa. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward (btwn 13-14 Mile), Thursday 4:00-8:00pm and Friday 2:00-8:00pm. Rosary Friday 7:00pm.
Funeral Mass Saturday 11:00am at St. Sharbel Church, 31601 Schoenherr Rd., Warren. Visitation at church begins at 10:00am.
