Obituary

ANNIE LAURIE ZEHNDER, age 93, died Sunday, December 11, 2005, at Fair Acres Care Center, in Armada, Michigan. She was born Annie Laurie Ward, on January 9, 1912 in Clarksville, Tennessee to Walker T. and Rivie (Meek) Ward. Mrs. Zehnder was a longtime resident of the Oakland Park Towers in Troy. She was one of the first residents to live there, and was a former resident of Birmingham, Michigan.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Mrs. Zehnder was formerly a very active member of Bethel Baptist Church in Troy.

Preceded in death by her husband, Henry, in 1977; and by her son, Henry, Jr., and her daughter, Lillian.

Surviving Grandchildren: 7 – Larry, Ron, Terry (Theresa), Diane, Gary, Steven and Annette
Great-grandchildren: 18

Visitation: Saturday, December 17, 2005, from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at A. J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Road, Troy, MI (between Maple and Big Beaver Roads).

Funeral Service: Saturday, December 17, 2005 @1 PM at the funeral home, with The Reverend Thomas A. Barbret officiating.

Interment: Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak, Michigan
