Obituary

Carmen G. Aloisio passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at the age of 68, after a hard-fought battle with Huntington’s Disease. Loving husband of Gale. Loving dad of Jennifer Morr (Craig), Nicholas Aloisio (Lauren Taylor) & Kelly Kipley (Brett). Cherished papa of Gabe, Natalie, Audrey, Elijah, Zeke, Zoey, Annabelle, Holden & Everett.

Carmen was born on June 19, 1951 in East Rochester, New York to Frank and Victoria (Liuzzo) Aloisio. Carmen was the youngest of six siblings. His siblings include Joseph Aloisio, Anne Schuelke (Roger), Thomas Aloisio (Mary), Frank Aloisio, and Anthony Aloisio. He moved to Detroit, Michigan during high school and attended Thomas M. Cooley High School, where he graduated. Carmen and Gale were married on May 5, 1973.

Carmen realized how important it was to help and serve people, so he joined the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department in 1976. In 1978 he began his career as a Police Office in Gibraltar, Michigan. Over Carmen’s police career he served the citizens of Gibraltar honorably. He also proudly served in the DRATT (Downriver Auto Theft Team) for three years. He retired from Gibraltar in 2003 after serving for 29 years in law enforcement.

Carmen was first and foremost a dedicated husband, Dad and Papa. He adored his children and grandchildren and was so proud of each of them. Carmen was an avid Notre Dame football fan. Fall Saturdays were cherished days, watching the Irish with his son Nick and the entire family.

His family will receive friends Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 9AM until the time of his Memorial service at 10:30AM at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward Ave. (between 13 & 14 Mile).

In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials to Huntington's Disease Society of America (HDSA), 505 Eighth Ave., Suite 902, New York, NY 10018 or Heart to Heart Hospice, 30800 Telegraph Rd., #1850, Bingham Farms, MI 48025.

~Lovingly written by the family
