CHRIS ZOTOS died December 12, 2017. He was 95 years old, and was born July 6, 1922 to Vassilios and Vassiliki Zottos. He was the oldest of five children. Chris came to the United States as a young man, and eventually settled in Detroit, MI. Chris owned various Coney Island restaurants throughout his life, including the Village Diner in Southfield, MI.

Chris was very close to his family, not only his children and grandchildren, but also his siblings, nieces, and nephews. His faith was a very important aspect of his life. Chris was an active member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Troy, and served as an usher for many years.

Chris was the beloved husband of Mary for 65 years. Dear father of Beth Sackett (Jeffrey), Bill (Marianne), Lisa Zotos and the late Christine Zotos. Grandfather of Alexis, Alyssa, Megan, Zachary, Lauren and the late Matthew. Great-grandfather of five. Brother of the late Spiro (Katherine), Eleni Drapos (the late Spiro), George (the late Kalliope) and Tom (Kathy). Also survived by many other relatives, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 3-7 p.m. with Trisagion 6 p.m. at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Rd. (between Maple and Big Beaver), 248-362-2500.

The Funeral Service will be on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 760 W. Wattles, Troy. Visitation at church begins at 9:30 a.m.
