Obituary

CLAUDIA ELIZABETH MARCHILDON, February 17, 2020. Sister of David Marchildon and Melanie Clark (Stewart).

Claudia was a respected and well liked member of the Michigan medical speech language pathology community as she managed the Providence Hospital Detroit Speech Pathology department for many years. She served as an officer of the Michigan Speech and Hearing Directors and often was a great host of this group at her hospital. Claudia was active in her profession's State and National Association work. She was thoughtful and progressive as she strongly encouraged Michigan medical speech and hearing programs to report outcome measures. Furthermore, she promoted programs to share their outcomes within Michigan and to the National Outcomes Measurement System (NOMS), established by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Claudia was known to help programs set up their outcomes reporting. She also was loved by so many special friends

Funeral Service, Friday, 12 Noon at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home (Price Chapel), 3725 Rochester Road (between Big Beaver and Wattles) 248-689-0700.

Family will receive friends Thursday 2-8p.m.
