Dale Alan Zwak, 63, sadly passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018.
Dale was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on April 14, 1954 to the late Donald and Mae Zwak. He spent his childhood in Grand Rapids before moving to Saginaw, where he graduated from Douglas MacArthur High School. Furthering his education, he received an undergraduate degree from Michigan State University, as well as a Masters degree from Wayne State University. While attending Michigan State, Dale was an active member of Theta Chi Fraternity, where he created a lifetime of friendships and memories. His love for the Spartans never faded.
Dale was an avid sports fan, enjoying MSU tailgates, football games and playing golf at every opportunity. Dale was a devoted companion to his furry four-legged friends. Above all else, his greatest role was the proud father to his daughters, Kelly and Jamie, and his latest joy was becoming a Gramps to his new granddaughter, Brooklyn.
He will be greatly missed and forever remembered in our hearts.
Loving father of Kelly Singles (Stephen) and Jamie Zwak (fiancé Bobby Rathsburg). Proud grandfather of Brooklyn Mae Singles. Also survived by the mother of his girls, Jeanette Zwak.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Dale on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 PM at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel) in Royal Oak, MI at 32515 Woodward Ave. (Between 13-14 Mile).
A short memorial as well as sharing of memories will be held at 6:30 p.m
Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a donation to the Michigan Humane Society in Dale’s memory.
