Obituary

Hershey, David Engel, age 84 of Bloomfield Hills, MI died peacefully at home on March 4, 2020. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Sally, and children, Scott Hershey and Jill Hershey Hoppie. Dave is also survived by grandchildren, Sarah Coulter (Brad), David Hershey, Julia Peterson (Alex) and great granddaughter, Ellie. Dave was a proud husband, father, and grandfather and his family was his greatest joy.

Dave, a lifelong resident of Birmingham, MI, was a graduate of The University of Michigan and a member of Phi Delta Theta. He was a successful business owner of The Hershey Agency and was active in the local business community. Dave was a lifetime member of Forest Lake Country club where he served as the Club President and spent many beautiful Michigan summers perfecting his favorite sport. Dave’s smile, great sense of humor, and energetic personality made him the life of every party. Dave will be missed by his many friends and family.

Visitation will take place at St. James Episcopal Church in Birmingham, MI on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Service following at the church at 11:00 a.m.
