Dr. Michael Doyle Ryan died on Monday, June 10, 2019 due to a heart attack. Despite the resuscitative efforts of family and healthcare professionals, he could not be revived. He died on Monday morning at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He was 59 years old.
Michael was born to John Doyle Ryan and Mary Emma Ryan on March 4, 1960 in Detroit, MI. He married his wife, Ilene, on February 12, 2000. He has four children: Chelsea-Rose, Joylene-Alena, Rummana-Mary, and Daniel-August. Brother of Rosemary Kolasa (George), Dr. Lawrence Ryan, Dr. Gerald Ryan (Mariluisa “Lou”), James Ryan, Esquire, Dr. Daniel Ryan (Mary Coe), Roberta Wahlberg (Dale), and Margaret Johnson (Michael).
He was a dentist of 34 years, a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, and an aspiring politician. He was a devout Catholic man and a parishioner of the National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica. He was a great man who will be missed by many. Part of Michael will live on in others as he graciously donated his organs to Gift of Life Michigan.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, June 19, 2019 from 2:00-8:00pm at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel) 32515 Woodward Ave (between 13-14 Mile) with a Rosary, Eulogy, and Knights of Columbus service to begin at 6:30pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 20, 2019, 12 Noon at National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica, 12 Mile at Woodward, Royal Oak, Michigan. Visitation begins at the church at 11:00am.
Interment will follow at Roseland Park Cemetery.
The family requests memorial contributions to be made out to Ilene Jabboori-Ryan.
