Obituary

EARL MITCHELL ZELLEN July 13, 1942 - July 29, 2013, age 71 of Brighton, died with his son, Matt, in an accident on Lake Dubawnt in the Northwest Territories, Canada.

Earl was a loyal and loving husband for 42 years, who was lucky to spend 15 years of retirement travelling the world with the love of his life, Linda. Together they raised 3 sons – Matt (Debbie), David (Nikki) and Mike (Meghann), who filled their life with 6 grandchildren they adored and could not get enough of.

Earl retired from Ford Motor Company in 1999, after 35 years of service, as the Global Manager, Programming, Scheduling & Releasing Dept.

He was a spiritual man who enjoyed donating his time to help family, friends, and charities. He sat on the Board of the Immokalee Housing and Family Services non-profit and tirelessly worked on behalf of the charity to help those in need.

Earl is also survived by 4 sisters – Diane (Jay), Mary, Joanne (Ted), Jeannie (Dave), and 1 brother Rick (Bonnie).

Family will receive friends Friday 4–8p.m. at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward (btwn 13-14 Mile).

Memorial Mass Saturday 10a.m. at Saint Mary Magdalen, 2201 Old US 23 Highway, Brighton.
