Obituary

Enid June Hausding, 98, beloved wife of the late Sidney, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2019.

Enid was born in Alpena, Michigan on January 27, 1921, the only child of Albert and Daisy Shunk. She was raised in Alpena where she met and married the love of her life, Sidney S. Hausding. The couple shared 61 years of marriage before his passing in 2005 in Saginaw, where they had relocated in the early ‘70’s.

Enid was a gifted church organist in Alpena who especially appreciated classical organ music. She also performed in Saginaw’s First Congregational Church choir and the Recorder Consort there. She was a talented visual artist as well, displaying her work in a few shows over the years after acquiring her BFA at Saginaw Valley State University.

Loving mother of Susan Russell and Sidney A.W. Hausding. Proud grandmother of Charles Russell (Patty) and Kerry Russell. Step-great-grandmother of Christina Raihala and David Raihala. Step-great-great-grandmother of Gwendolyn Raihala.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2020, 11:00am at the First Congregational Church, 403 S Jefferson Ave., Saginaw.
