Obituary

Francis Wesley Zidwick passed away peacefully on October 4, 2016 at age 88. He was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He was an alum of Mount Saint Joseph School and Loyola University in Baltimore. Having worked for General Motors in accounting and finance for many years, he was transferred to the Detroit, Michigan area where he lived for 50 years. Wes (known as Bud to his family) loved his children and grandchildren. He liked working in the yard and garden and working with his hands. Bud was a lover of fine seafood from Maryland. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, his daughters Mary Jo Zidwick (Jerry Arneson), Christiana Zidwick (Joseph Sweeney), and Karen Zidwick and grandchildren Stephanie, Kari, Finn, Gabri and Jordan. Beloved brother to Rosemary. Preceded in death by brothers Raymond and Albert. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Hugo of the Hills Catholic Church, 2215 Opdyke Rd, Bloomfield Hills on Friday October 7 at 11:00 am with visitation one half hour before the service. Memorial tributes to the Wounded Warriors Family Support www.wwfs.org or donor's choice. A memorial service and burial will be held at a later date in Baltimore, Maryland.
