Obituary

HELEN BARBARA ADAMI "BUNNY"
June 11, 1946 ~ September 10, 2012

Bunny was born on June 11, 1946 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Charles & Helen Adami. She was the oldest of three girls, sisters Patricia and Catherine. She got her nickname "Bunny" from her father when she was a young girl and she proudly carried this nickname with her throughout her life.

A free spirited individual, she graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School and went on to pursue additional schooling in Cosmetology. She spent the next 25 years in this field, meeting many new friends along the way.

Bunny married in 1964, and soon gave birth to a son, Jeffrey. Not long after, she gave birth to a second son, Christopher, who would sadly pass away at a very young age. Several years later Bunny gave birth to her daughter, Valerie.

In 1980, Bunny and her family moved from Pennsylvania to the Midwest region, where they ultimately settled in Suburban Detroit. When she retired from full time work, Bunny enjoyed spending time as a Grandmother (Nana) to Danny, Tyler, David, Christopher, Zamiel, and Brady. She lived a quiet life in Troy, where she took pleasure in watching her favorite soap operas, shopping, feeding the birds, & caring her for beloved cats Cindy and Charlie.

Anyone who knew her knew that she was a good hearted person and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

The Memorial Service will be Friday 7 p.m. at A.J. Desmond & Sons, 2600 Crooks Road (between Maple & Big Beaver).

The family will receive friends Friday 5 p.m. until time of service.
