John T. Adamo, Jr. died unexpectedly December 2, 2015 at 57 years old. He was born December 31, 1957 to the late John and Gloria Adamo. John was the beloved husband of Barbara; devoted father of Leslie (Andrew MacKellar), Lauren (Michael McBroom), Carolyn, and Julie; dear brother of James (Diane) and Richard (Sandra); brother-in-law of Peggy (Rob Oliverio) and Judith Joseph; loving uncle of James Jr., Elizabeth, Catherine (Sam Bucher), Maria, John, Anthony, Michael, Dominic, Andrea (Chris Lucido), Lisa, Ryan (Teagan), and Meaghan (Jon Read).
Raised in St. Clair Shores, he graduated from South Lake High School in 1976.
John earned his BS in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University in 1980 and an MBA from Wayne State University in 1987. After eleven years of working alongside his father, he became CEO of the Adamo Demolition Group. John was a licensed Professional Engineer and also served as Treasurer for the National Demolition Association. John loved playing the piano and spending time with family and friends at Burt Lake. He deeply loved his girls. He will be sorely missed by those who were blessed to have been part of his life.
Family will receive friends on Sunday (December 6, 2015) from 2:00-8:00pm at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Rd. (btw Maple & Big Beaver), Troy, MI.
Funeral Mass will be Monday (December 7) at 11:00am at St. Hugo of the Hills Church, 2215 Opdyke Rd., Bloomfield Hills. Church visitation begins 10:00am.
