Josephine "Molly": Aceves passed away on October 8, 2016 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan after fighting valiantly for her health over several days.
She was born March 7, 1934 in Detroit Michigan to Manuel and Josephine Fernandez. She came from a family of 5 brothers, Mike, Bill, Art, Al and Manny. She is survived by her only son Al. Her pride and joy were her three grandchildren Jonathon, Brennan and Carly and one great granddaughter Charlotte.
Molly worked at Ford Motor Company for over 30 years retiring at the young age of 58 to care for her mother and enjoyed her retirement years. While working, she supported her son through his years of formal education and encouraged him in doing whatever was necessary to succeed.
As she began her retirement, she had the opportunity to travel with friends. Most of her time was consumed as a "care-giver" for her parents. This truly defined what she was as a person. She put caring for her parents, son and grandchild ahead of herself. Molly was devoted to her faith. Practicing faithfully at home and church she was constantly concerned about the healthier, safety and well-being of everyone she loved.
After her parents passed, she was able to give her undivided attention to assuring that her grandchildren were properly spoiled! Grandmacita like nothing better than giving them the extras that they wanted. She felt blessed that she was able to remain so active and involved in the lives of her grandchildren, as well as her nieces and nephews. It added years to her great life and generated wonderful memories for all who loved her.
She will forever be remembered as a loving, caring person who had a simple life led by her faith and family. She will be missed terribly by all, especially those that she effected on a daily basis. She will rest in peace with her parents and loved ones who predeceased her. We take great comfort in knowing that she is watching over everyone from her heavenly home.
Family will receive friends Monday, October 10, 2016 at A.J. Desmond & Sons - Price Chapel at 3725 Rochester Road, Troy, Michigan 48085. Visitation will be between the hours of 2-8 pm.
Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, October 11, 2016 at Sainte Anne de Detroit Catholic Church located at 1000 Sainte Anne Street, Detroit, Michigan. Visitation at church will begin at 10:00 am.
Memorial Donations can be made directly to Sainte Anne de Detroit Catholic Church.
