Judith Jaekel Parizeau –Loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully on February 23, 2015, surrounded by her family.
Judith was born on June 5, 1935 to Dorothy and Robert Jaekel in Plainfield, New Jersey. She was married to Jean Paul Parizeau-(1931-1997) for 36 years. She is survived by a sister, Patricia Schmitz and a brother, George Jaekel. Her three girls; Nicole Held (Jim), Gigi Stempien (Robert), and Christine Parizeau. She is also survived by six grandchildren; James Held Jr., Caroline Elizabeth Held, Sarah Elizabeth Stempien, John Paul "Jack" Stempien, Emily Anne Held, and Emma Katherine Stempien, were the joy of her life.
After moving to Michigan in 1971, Judith worked as an RN for over 30 years. She enjoyed cooking, reading, travel and spending time with family and friends.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Owen Church in Franklin, MI on Friday February 27, 2015 at 11 am. The family will greet guests prior to the service beginning at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Metro Detroit/SE Michigan Chapter, 24359 Northwestern Hwy, #225, Southfield, MI 48075
