LEE RAYMOND ZUVER ~~
"THE PERFECT GENTLEMAN"

Mr. Zuver, age 90, died on Friday, May 1, 2009, at Georgian Bloomfield Nursing Home, in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. He was born on January 5, 1919, in Detroit, Michigan, to George H. and Mabel Zuver. He had been a resident of Rochester Hills, Michigan for 24 years, and he was a former resident of Troy.

Occupation: Mr. Zuver retired from the Treasury Department with the State of Michigan after 36 years of service.

He was an avid golfer, and he was a very active member of Sacred Heart of the Hills Church in Auburn Hills, Michigan, where he served as an usher.

Family and friends will remember him as being very generous.

Military: Mr. Zuver was a proud U.S. Army Veteran of WW II. He earned a Good Conduct Medal, a WW II Victory Medal, an American Defense Service Medal, and an Asiatic Pacific Service Medal w/1 Bronze Star.

Deceased Wife: the late Loretta (nee: Meyer) Zuver, deceased January 21, 1982

Mr. Zuver is survived by many loving nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and a host of wonderful friends.

Visitation: Monday, May 4, 2009, from 2-8 PM at A. J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Road, Troy, MI 48084 (between Maple and Big Beaver Roads), with an evening Scripture Service at 7 PM.

Funeral Mass: Tuesday, May 5, 2009 - 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart of the Hills Church, 3400 S. Adams Road, Auburn Heights, Michigan, with Reverend James Mayworm officiating. Visitation at church begins Tuesday at 10:30 AM

Inurnment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, in Southfield, Michigan
