Obituary

On Saturday, April 13, 2019, Linda Joyce Mitchell, loving wife and mother of four children, passed away at the age of 69.

Linda was born on April 3, 1950 to Elmer and Dorothy (Eckstrom) Kangas. She lived a selfless and joyful life, filled with loving family and lifelong friendships. She will be forever remembered for her kindness, compassion, humor and giving nature.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Lawrence Mitchell; her four children, Erica (Gelu), Natalie (Christopher), Tamara (Jason) and Brett (Amy); her five grandchildren, Finn, Luke, Elin, Ada, and Hanna; her brother, William Kangas; as well as countless friends and family.

Visitation with family will be held on on Monday, April 15th from 2-8 pm at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 32515 Woodward Ave (between 13 and 14 Mile), Royal Oak, MI.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 16th at Peace Lutheran Church, 17029 13 Mile Rd, Southfield, MI at 11 am.
