Martha 'Sue'
Adams
October 26, 1942 - May 22, 2014
Martha Sue (Wolfe) Adams, beloved wife of Howard for nearly 40 years, mother and grandmother, departed this life on Thursday, May 22 after a battle with lung cancer.
Sue, as she was known, was born in Detroit, schooled in Berkely (Class of '60) and Oakland Community College and lived most of her life in Troy, Michigan.
She was employed by Ford Motor Company in many different areas with proud service at Ford Tractor Operations, Ford New Holland (Troy, MI) and Ford Corporate HR offices at RenCen and WHQ-Dearborn.
Sue was a very proud mother of Sarah Adams Stender (Niel) and 3 grandchildren (Milan, Maren and Hendrick).
Sue was committed to her faith and family. She was godmother to nieces, nephews and children of friends. Sue derived great pleasure in preparing for holiday family get-togethers whether at home or in family gatherings in Florida, Mississippi, Massachusetts, New Jersey and other locations. Her daughter went to Purdue for undergraduate studies and Sue and Howard followed by attending every home football game.
Sue loved reading, shopping and home re-decoration, however what she really enjoyed was hosting and participating in parties and family get-togethers.
The Family will receive friends at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Road, Troy (between Maple and Big Beaver Roads) on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 from 2-8 PM.
