Obituary

Matthew passed away June 30, 2019 at the age of 41.

Beloved husband of Amy Novak. Loving Son of the late Mary Ellen Finn (Kevin Finn) and the late Glen Brockett. Father-in-law of Paul A. Laurencelle and the late Kay E. Laurencelle. Dear brother of Beau Brockett, Jamie Brocket, Heather Brockett, sister- in-law of Jennifer Novak (Dino Venuto) and Michelle Main. Uncle of Carrie Main. Also many aunts, uncles, cousins and loving family. Best friends of Derek Leinonen, Dan McCance and his dog Paddy.

If Matt were to list his favorite things in life they would include these in no particular order: Spending time with friends, canoe trips with buddies, meeting new people, watching and talking Sports including Tigers, Red Wings, Lions & U of M. Collecting DVD’s especially Star Wars, going to Checker, Queens, American Coney Island, Taco Bell. Shopping at Bonobos, Listening to music, attending concerts, playing songs on the Juke Box, finding enjoyment by scaring Amy, riding bikes, travels to Ireland and Marco Island, and hanging out with Amy & Paddy.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, July 3, 2019 from 11:30am-2pm at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward Ave., (btwn 13-14 Mile), (248) 549-0500.
