Nancy B. Scarbro, passed away February 8, 2020 at her residence at the age of 69. Nancy was born on June 13, 1950 to the late Arthur and Katherine (Linn) Bailey in Elkhart, Indiana. She was raised in Utica, Michigan and is a graduate of Utica High School.
Beloved wife of Bill. Loving mother of two daughters, Laura Scarbro (James Moriarty) and Janet Cobb (David). Dear grandmother of Sophia Scarbro. Dearest sister of Janet Adams (Craig). Nancy is also survived by many loving in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Nancy and Bill have been married for 40 years. She devoted the rest of her life to her family. She absolutely loved entertaining and made every holiday special for those around her. Nancy is a Michigan State graduate and proud Spartan. Nancy and Bill have been football season ticket holders since 1983. After graduation, Nancy spent over 10 years as a designer sports wear manager in department stores. This suited her well as she had a love for beautiful clothes and elegance. Nancy and Bill made annual trips to West Virginia, Florida and Indiana to visit those that they loved so much. Nancy cherished her church family at Cross of Glory and devoted her time teaching Sunday school.
She will be deeply missed and held in our hearts forever.
Funeral service Thursday 10:30 a.m. at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward (btwn 13-14 Mile), 248-549-0500. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-8 p.m.
