Obituary

Norma Jean was a resident of Novi, formerly of Bloomfield Hills.

She summered in Elk Rapids where she enjoyed gardening and being with family. She also enjoyed painting and antiquing. She was a former member of the Village Women's Club.

Wife of the late George "Pete" Abbott Jr. Dear mother of Jim (Leslie), Patti (Joe), Bill (Karen) and Dave (Cathy). Grandmother of Chris, Megan, Michael and Emma. Daughter of the late Hattie Hollister. Also survived by many extended family members and life long friends.

Family will receive friends at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward Ave. (btwn 13-14 Mile) Wednesday 2-4p.m. and 6-8p.m.

Funeral service Thursday 11a.m. at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 1800 W. Maple Rd., Birmingham. Visitation begins at church 10a.m.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial tributes to the Elk Rapids Garden Club, P.O. Box 534, Elk Rapids, MI 49629.
