Ralph Charles Puckett of Sylvan Lake passed in peace on February 20, 2020. He was born on November 1, 1923 in Holly, Michigan. Beloved husband of the late Shirley Puckett and the loving father of the late Shannon Pell and the late Barbara Puckett. Survived by his grandson Mark Swenson (Stacy) and granddaughters Meghan and Marin Pell, two great grandsons Alec and Chandler. Dear friend of Mary Cary and Doreen Wright.
Ralph served in the United States Navy and fought as a fire controller at the Battle of Iwo Jima during World War II. He was employed by John Miller Electric as Vice President Superintendent of field operations. He was a member of IBEW Local 58 where he made lifelong friends.
In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time at Oakland Hills Country Club as a lifetime member playing and golf socializing with his buddies. He will be remembered by all for his witty sense of humor.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 11am until the time of Memorial Service at 1pm at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward Ave. (btwn 13-14 Mile), (248) 549-0500.
Inurnment at White Chapel Cemetery.

Founded by three Detroit-area Lions Clubs members in 1939, Leader Dogs for the Blind provides guide dogs to people who are blind and visually impaired to enhance their mobility, independence and quality of life. Each year, over 270 clients attend our 26-day residential training program to be paired with a guide dog. This is a life-changing event that opens the door to independence, safety and self-worth for many of our clients.
