Obituary

Glenn, Ralph F. June 8, 2019, age 86.

Professor Emeritus and past Chair Art Department of Madonna University. Introduced and taught Asian Art History and Architecture (India, China, and Japan) classes and several seminars at S.E. Michigan Universities, Colleges, and the University of Michigan, in addition to Western Art History and Architecture. Famed for his oriental brushwork painting classes.

Former Assistant Director of the Honolulu Academy of Arts, Hawaii, and curator in the Education Department of the Detroit Institute of Arts.

Loyal Board Member of the English-Speaking Union and member of the Circumnavigators Club, Tuesday Musicale of Detroit, Detroit Art Institute, Alliance Francaise of Hawaii, and many other cultural institutes.

Recipient of degrees from the University of Michigan and Harvard University.

Son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Ben F. Glowacki of Bloomfield Hills and brother of the late Jean A. G. Sanford.
