Obituary

SHIRLEY LORETTA ZOPPI (Nee: Owens) was born on February 6, 1937 to the proud parents of Luther Owens and Velva Dare Taylor in Hamtramck, Michigan.

Shirley loved spending time with her family and was very faithful to her religion. She was an outstanding cook and favored making Italian Cappelletti, Lasagna and Crostata for dessert.

Shirley was the dear mother of Enzo Ferando, Adamo Luther and the late Dina Velva. Loving grandmother of Kelly Zoppi, Angelina Zoppi and Adamo R. Zoppi. Devoted great grandmother of Brightlyn. Dear sister of the late Daniel Owens (Jane) and the late Jack Owens. Dearest sister in-law of Dolly Owens.

Family will received friends Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 4-8 p.m.

Funeral Service Friday, September 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home (Price Chapel), 3725 Rochester Road (between Big Beaver and Wattles), Troy. 248-689-0700. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. at A.J. Desmond & sons Funeral Home.
