Obituary

Shirley died peacefully on June 9, 2019 at the age of 89. She was the dear sister of Harold Deforest (the late Mildred) and the late Homer Baxter (the late Mary). Shirley was the loving aunt of Kathleen Roberts, Michael Deforest, Cynthia Potter (Steven), Susan Degeorge (the late Robert), Robert Baxter, Mary Blair (Michael), Joseph Baxter, James Baxter (Rhonda), Sandra Southerland (Jeffrey) and the late Thomas Baxter and Richard Baxter (Raelee).

Shirley was an avid reader and was known to have a very organized household.

Her family will receive friends Friday, June 14, 2019 3-8PM and Saturday, June 15, 2019 10:30AM until the time of her Funeral service at 11:30AM at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward Ave. (between 13-14 Mile).

In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials to American Heart Association.
