Susan Ann Henry, 54, formerly of Detroit, Michigan, born in Cincinnati, Ohio, April 29th, 1965, unexpectedly left this world on January 8th, 2020 in Detroit. Susan lived life with fervor, adapting to any challenge put before her. Susan was an avid fisher woman who loved to spend time in Northern Michigan, especially Walloon Lake. As a dog lover, rescuing them was one of her personal priorities. Susan was loved by many, and had a large circle of extended family and friends. All who knew her will miss her big heart tremendously. She attended Cincinnati Country Day School (Cincinnati, OH), The Buxton School (Williamstown, MA), and the Solebury School (New Hope, PA). Her deep affection for Kitty Love and any body of water undeniably followed her.
She is survived by her mother Mary Sue Allen Gatzert of Chicago, Il, Siblings; David Henry of Shelburne Falls, MA (Nephews Issac Henry, Alec Henry), Michael Henry of Boston, MA, Sarah Henry Bradford of Royal Oak, Michigan (Nieces Rosemary Bradford, Natalie Bradford, nephew Ian Bradford), Honorary sister Angela Smith and family of Ohio, O. Glenn Crutchfield of Kentucky, beloved companion and family. Susan was preceded in death by her father John David Henry, Chagrin Falls, Ohio, (2014).
The memorial service will be held on Friday, March 20th, 2 p.m at A.J Desmond and Sons, 2600 Crooks, Rd. Troy, Michigan, 48084.
