Timothy David Buysse

LOVING BROTHER, BROTHER-IN-LAW, UNCLE AND FRIEND

Timothy David Buysse loved his parents and his siblings. He pursued having a kind relationship with those he was in contact with in his personal life over his many years. Timothy died at his residence at the Sanctuary at Bellbrook in Rochester Hills, Michigan on April 21, 2019.

Timothy David Buysse was born on August 14, 1943 in Detroit Michigan to Richard and Cecilia Buysse. Timothy had two brothers and four sisters. He is preceded in death by his brother Richard Buysse (Mary), and his sister Mary Ellen (Janies). He is survived by his other siblings, James Buysse (Barbara), Catherine Buttermore, Jean Moir (the late Dr. Michael), and Celeste Hayes (Michael). He has many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Timothy attended St. Charles Borromeo School and graduated from Eastern High School in Detroit. He attended an art school in southern California for a short time where he improved his art skills.

On April 5, 1963 he was inducted into the United Stated Army. He served two years, most of which was in Germany. While he was in basic training, he received the Sharpshooter award with the M-14 rifle. He also received the Good Conduct Medal.

Timothy worked for Holly Plastics Company in Warren Michigan for a short time and then for General Motors for 18 years at a Warren Michigan plant, mostly as a parts inspector. After an accident in 1985, when he was struck by a car while a pedestrian and a mental health issue that had developed, he was forced to take a disability retirement.

Timothy was a long-term resident at Sanctuary at Clinton Villa, a senior citizen facility in Clinton Township, Michigan. As his health was failing him, he moved to an assisted living facility, Sunrise in Rochester in 2017 and then to another assisted living facility, Sanctuary at Bellbrook in Rochester Hills, Michigan in 2018.

A visitation with family and a funeral mass along with internment at the Great Lakes National Cemetery will be planned for a later date.
